THE ARETE INSTITUTE
Human Excellence. Global Transformation.
Arete (/ˈærətiː/; Greek: ἀρετή), excellence of any kind; fulfillment of purpose or function: the act of living up to one's full potential.

WHO WE ARE
At the Arete Institute, we celebrate human excellence, along with our individual and collective capacity to change the world—starting with our own lives.
Many of us can envision our fully actualized lives, but can't yet say we've reached our highest potential. The Arete Institute was founded on the belief that all people can, with fierce determination and sufficient encouragement, step fully into their own power, and that people of relative privilege have a responsibility to do so. We also hold the belief that personal transformation leads to global transformation, and that, more than ever before, the world needs fully realized citizens to tackle the many challenges we face as a global community.
WHAT WE DO
Here at the Arete Insitute, we are absolutely committed to your personal version of Arete.
The Arete Institute is suspending all other initiatives to focus on THE ARETE INIATIVE for Women: an unprecedented, 3 or 6-month program (with an initial month-long intensive) for a small and select group of women interested in making a quantum leap forward in their personal and professional lives. Change your life, change the world.
FESTIVE EVOLUTION, AI's sister organization, is our outreach arm. You can read more about Fest Ev HERE.
Arete (Ancient Greek: ἀρετή), alternately areté, is defined as excellence of any kind. In ancient Greece, this notion of excellence was bound up with the act of living up to one's full potential.
Arete was also personified in the form of a goddess of the same name. She was the goddess or daimona of virtue, excellence, goodness and valour. She was depicted as a fair woman of high bearing, dressed in white.
